Australian Teachers of Dancing (RTO 31624)
The Certificate IV in Dance (CUA40120) is a qualification for those seeking to develop their dance skills and pursue a career in the performing arts or dance teaching. It’s a nationally recognized course that hones technical skills, expands knowledge of various dance genres, and builds confidence as a performer. The qualification can also lead to opportunities in dance teaching and management.
Newcastle Dance Academy’s Certificate IV in Dance is designed to develop aspiring dancers into confident, versatile artists ready to audition for elite national and international ballet and contemporary programs. This full-time training is an ideal stepping stone towards pre-professional company placements, musical theatre productions, stage shows, pantomimes, fashion parades, TV, film and commercial opportunities.
Our weekly schedule offers a rich and varied program including classical ballet, contemporary, body conditioning, pas de deux, choreography, repertoire, jazz and solo coaching. Students participate in fully choreographed classical, contemporary, lyrical and jazz group works, while theory units explore anatomy, nutrition, dance history, body awareness and career planning.
With regular performance opportunities and access to tailored solo and group choreography by our in-house creative team, NDA students graduate with the technical refinement, stage experience and professional artistry required to take the next step in their dance journey.
